Alliance Health has adopted CCP- 107 Enhanced Community Living and Supports and CCP-108 Enhanced Day Supports, following review and approval by the Alliance Medical Policy Committee.
Alliance uses North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) Clinical Coverage Policies as the foundation for utilization management and coverage determinations. When medical necessity criteria are not specified within NCDHHS Clinical Coverage Policies, or when no applicable NCDHHS policy exists, Alliance uses MCG Health criteria as permitted by NCDHHS. When guidance is unavailable from either source, Alliance develops its own Medical Policies.
Alliance Medical Policies are evidence-based documents that establish medical necessity criteria for specific procedures, services, or technologies. These policies support consistent coverage determinations, promote efficient clinical decision-making, and help ensure members receive appropriate, high-quality care.
Providers are encouraged to review the newly adopted policies and all current Clinical Coverage and Medical Policies.Â
