There are several ways to reach out for help on the telephone from Alliance. This page explains how.

For help with non-emergency issues and questions, call Member and Recipient Services Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 6 pm. Please leave a message if you call us after these hours with a non-urgent request. We will call you back within 1 business day.

Behavioral Health Crisis Line

If you are in danger or need immediate medical attention, call 911.

If you are thinking of hurting yourself or others, or are in emotional or mental pain or distress, call the Behavioral Health Crisis Line at 877-223-4617 at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can speak with someone who will listen and help. This is a free call. We are here to help you with problems like stress, depression or anxiety. We can get you the support you need to feel better.

If you have basic questions or concerns about your health, you can call our Nurse Line at 855-759-9400 at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is a free call. You can get advice on when to go to your primary care provider or ask questions about symptoms or medicines.

Alliance Office Hours

Business hours at the Alliance home office in Morrisville and our Cumberland, Johnston and Mecklenburg community offices are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:15 pm. All our offices can be reached at 919-651-8401 during these hours. All visitors to any Alliance office must have a scheduled appointment.

Reporting Fraud and Abuse

You are encouraged to report matters involving fraud and abuse. If you want to report fraud or abuse, you can remain anonymous.

Reporting Subrogation

In compliance with state and federal law, Alliance Health is obligated to identify and collect third-party liability for claims, including subrogation. [See Social Security Act; 42 C.F.R. § 433 Subpart D; and N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-57]. To determine if you or your client has a claim that might be subject to subrogation, we require:

  • A letter of representation (if claiming through a law firm)
  • A completed Alliance Health Release of Information (ROI) form, and
  • All the following information:
    • Medicaid member’s name
    • Member’s Medicaid ID number
    • Payors (e.g. Alliance Health)
    • Type of injury
    • Date of injury

Please submit the completed ROI form and letter of representation (if applicable) along with the requested information in the body of the email to [email protected]. You can also reach our subrogation vendor, HMS/Gainwell, by phone at 877-814-4612 or by fax 855-287-1688. A member of the team will be in touch with you shortly about your subrogation claim.
