Many behavioral health professionals recognize occupational therapy's role in physical rehabilitation but may be less familiar with its contributions to mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), substance use recovery, and community participation. Occupational therapists address barriers to participation by helping individuals develop routines, life skills, self-management strategies, and meaningful roles that support recovery and community living. This interactive workshop explores how occupational therapists help individuals develop meaningful routines, roles, habits, and participation patterns that support health, recovery, and quality of life. Through case studies, discussion, and practical application, participants will gain a deeper understanding of occupational therapy's unique contribution to interdisciplinary behavioral health teams. Upon completion of this workshop, The Claims team will host virtual sessions to assist with agency-specific issues related to claims submissions, denials, and RA Reports. |
