Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Learn more about our DEI vision to have an equitable and inclusive environment where people with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences are encouraged to be their authentic selves.

A Message from Our Leaders

“At Alliance, we have deliberately embarked on a journey to be a leader in addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the healthcare industry. We understand that diversity drives innovation, one of our core values. Being deliberate means, we seek out opportunities to correct any inequities that may affect our employees and the members of the communities we serve. We are committed to having a work environment where our employees can bring their authentic selves to work and feel accepted and respected for the value it brings to the organization.” Rob Robinson Chief Executive Officer “Our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion helps us create an environment where people can be their authentic selves. We understand that an equitable and inclusive culture helps attract the best talent and helps us become a better organization and provide high-quality service to our communities.” Anita Hoggard Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager

DEI Vision

Our DEI vision is to have an equitable and inclusive environment where people with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences are encouraged to be their authentic selves.

DEI Statement

Alliance Health exists to ensure our members are receiving comprehensive health services in our community. We do that by demonstrating diversity, equity, and inclusion through:

  • Embodying the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the entire organization
  • Engaging, empowering, and advancing a diverse workforce that is passionate about serving our communities
  • Having a respectful and supportive workplace that attracts and retains a talented workforce reflective of the communities we serve.

Affinity Resource Groups

Our Affinity Resource Groups (ARGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups formed around shared interests, common bonds, or similar backgrounds. The ARG mission at Alliance Health is to create a safe space for employees to aspire, cultivate and work in partnership to reach their highest potential, serve as a resource to the company for employee insights, and represent Alliance Health in our communities. We currently offer 15 Affinity Resource Groups for employees to participate in at Alliance Health. They range from characteristic-based to workplace wellness. We purposefully chose to use the term “affinity” instead of the traditional terms “employee” or “business” to make them more inclusive and allow more opportunities for our employees to participate based on their interests.

BRIDGES Program

Our BRIDGES (Building Relations across Inclusive Diverse Groups for Everyone’s Success) program allows for meaningful conversations that can expand our worldview, leaving us better informed and more connected to our colleagues. Employees get to know and understand each other’s values and beliefs through these discussions. These discussions also lead to stronger bonds and be the catalyst for changes in one’s perspective or behaviors in the workplace. These guided discussions provide a focal point for the conversation about important DEI topics that affect how we work with one another and the care we provide to our beneficiaries. We hope that participation in the group will help bridge (see what we did there, lol) the gaps that divide us and strengthen our organization.
