Introduction to Child and Family Teams

The Child and Family Team (CFT) is the “heart” of System of Care. The role of the team is to work directly with children and families to help them meet their goals while promoting the strengths of children and families. Children with complex needs and their families often need a flexible combination of formal agency services and informal supports in order to reach their goals and address multiple social drivers of health. In System of Care, these supports and services are planned, coordinated, delivered and monitored through Child and Family Teams using a Wraparound approach. During this three-hour training you will learn the fundamentals of Child and Family Teams, and skills for engaging with parents using the values and principles of CFTs.
