Alliance Launches AI-Powered Provider Search to Help Members Find Care More Easily

Alliance Health has launched a new AI-powered provider search experience that makes it easier for members, caregivers and families to find the care they need. The redesigned provider directory allows users to search in plain language – such as “help for a child with ADHD” – rather than requiring knowledge of clinical terms or provider specialties. Powered by Leap Orbit’s CareFinDr interface and Convergent provider data platform, the enhanced search experience is available in multiple languages and connects users with accurate, up-to-date provider information. Members can refine results based on their specific needs and quickly take action by calling a provider, visiting a website or saving information for later.

The new tool is important for Alliance’s health plan members who often face challenges navigating complex clinical terminology and provider networks. By allowing users to describe needs in their own words, the search experience helps reduce barriers to care and supports members, caregivers, guardians and case managers in finding appropriate services more efficiently. In addition to improving the member experience, the platform provides Alliance with a centralized, continuously updated source of provider and network information. The same search capabilities are also available to customer service staff, helping them respond more quickly and consistently to member inquiries.

“Finding care begins with search,” said Alliance Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer Sean Schreiber. “This new approach helps ensure members can access the right services without needing to understand the healthcare system’s clinical or billing terminology.”

The AI-powered provider directory reflects Alliance Health’s commitment to improving access to care by meeting members where they are and making it easier to connect with the services they need.
