Alliance Health CIO Named Finalist for ORBIE Award

Alliance Health Chief Information Officer Dave Brown is a finalist for a 2026 Carolina CIO ORBIE Award in the nonprofit/public section category. The ORBIE Awards, presented by Carolina CIO, recognize chief information officers who demonstrate excellence in leadership, innovation and the business value created through technology.

Since 1998, the ORBIE Awards have honored more than 5,000 finalists nationwide and are widely regarded as the premier recognition for executive technology leadership. Finalists are selected through an independent, peer-adjudicated process led by prior ORBIE recipients and evaluated on leadership effectiveness, business impact, and engagement in industry and community initiatives.

In his senior technology leadership role at Alliance, Brown has helped guide the organization through significant transformation, including its transition to North Carolina’s Medicaid Tailored Plan model. Under his leadership Alliance has strengthened critical capabilities across data integration, enterprise reporting, cybersecurity, infrastructure and care management systems, ensuring alignment with complex regulatory requirements while supporting the evolving needs of members, providers and the communities the organization serves.

In addition, Brown has advanced the organization’s use of data as a strategic enterprise asset, enhancing analytics, interoperability and governance capabilities to improve decision-making, performance monitoring and service delivery outcomes.

Winners will be announced at the 2026 Carolina CIO ORBIE Awards ceremony on September 10.
