FREE Nicotine Patches/Gum/Lozenges for your Sites for Uninsured
If you serve uninsured clients, your practice site can access free NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) to bridge your clients to QuitLineNC. Alliance has contracted with NC Med Assist to provide NRT for free to practices serving uninsured. Visit https://medassist.org/alliancenrt/ to learn more and to order.
Even if a client is not ready to quit, they may need help abstaining from tobacco in many treatment settings, transportation and other tobacco-free environments. NRT can reduce nicotine withdrawal symptoms and may support clients in reduction or even quitting tobacco.
To identify local pharmacies that will prescribe NRT to Medicaid clients (covered with zero copay) search the NC PharmacyFinder, checking Nicotine Replacement Therapy as the service filter.
Please note that these NRT funds end December 31,2026, so take advantage of these NRT resources before it’s too late.
