Certification and Certificate Opportunities Available

Enhance your professional learning by registering for one of the virtual trainings offered through the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists.

Certified Brain Injury Specialist Virtual Training

August 19, 26, and September 2, 11 am to 4:30 pm ET

The certified brain injury specialist program is ideal for professionals who would like to earn their CBIS certification and are working in acute care, post-acute rehabilitation, behavioral health, social work, vocational rehabilitation or education.

The live virtual CBIS training, led by a certified brain injury specialist trainer, is part of our CBIS Prep bundle, which also includes:

  • The CBIS certification application and exam fee
  • The Essential Brain Injury Guide 6.0 and companion workbook
    A one-year subscription to the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation

The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) is an AOTA approved provider of professional development. PD activity approval ID# 14075. This blended/hybrid activity is offered at 1.5 CEUs, intermediate, OT service delivery, professional issues and foundational knowledge.

Brain Injury Fundamentals Virtual Training

September 16 and 23, 11 am to 4:30 pm or November 10 and 17, 11 am to 4:30 pm.

Brain Injury Fundamentals is a foundational training and certificate program designed for individuals who support people with brain injuries, including non-licensed direct care staff, facility personnel, first responders, and other community members.

Brain Injury Fundamentals also provides continuing education credit options
from the American Occupational Therapy Association, American Academy
of Family Physicians and Commission for Case Manager Certification.
