Transition to JIVA Provider Portal for All Prior Authorization Requests

Alliance Health will transition to JIVA Provider Portal for all prior authorization requests for IN-NETWORK PROVIDERS effective May 1, 2024. PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REQUEST AUTHORIZATIONS WITHOUT THIS. The JIVA Provider Portal will offer much more flexibility, functionality, and usability for providers and staff. Some of the features of the new portal include integration with Milliman Clinical Guidelines (MCG), which allows for automatic review of some designated request types, as well as a Dashboard to show a snapshot of submitted requests and their status at a glance. Access to Alliance Claims System (ACS) to submit Service Authorization Requests (SARs) will no longer be available after these go-live dates:

  • May 1: In-network behavioral health providers will go live with submitting prior authorization (PA) requests in JIVA Provider Portal
  • July 1: Our Tailored Plan (physical health) providers will be active to submit prior authorization (PA) requests in JIVA Provider Portal

Each agency that requires access to the JIVA Provider Portal to submit Service Authorization Requests (SARs) must complete the JIVA Provider Portal Service Agreement and Attachment A. We have included instructions. You may access these JIVA service agreement and instruction forms here.

Your agency will receive a notification that your Agreement and Attachment A have been received. If documents are incomplete, you will hear directly from an Alliance employee. Individual users will receive next steps on how to activate their accounts. Those with new accounts created or reactivated would receive an OKTA email as notification to set up their password. For those with active OKTA accounts, the JIVA icon will appear on their login screen.

Alliance is committed to ensuring all providers that return accurate forms are set up in JIVA within 10 business days. HOWEVER, providers that wait until the last week before implementation will run the risk of not being set up prior to the May 1, 2024 launch date. To access training on how to use the JIVA provider portal, please sign up through Knowledge Point by entering the registration code newuser. If you are not able to attend an information session, contact your assigned Network Relations Specialist for any questions related to the JIVA service agreement.

Hospitals and inpatient facilities will have a different process for the JIVA Service Agreement. Please be on the lookout for an email from our Director, Hospital and Facilities concerning your JIVA Service Agreement process. Hospitals and facilities are encouraged to sign up for trainings.

Please sign up for trainings as they are available for all in-network contracted providers.

If you are already registered in JIVA as a CMA/AMH+, you do not need to submit user information for those care managers and extenders. CMA/AMH+ providers, if you have questions, contact your Practice Transformation Specialist.
