Registration is now OPEN – Free Training Just for DSPs

Alliance Health is excited to offer a FREE training opportunity curated specifically for direct support professionals. This series will sharpen communication, deepen understanding of person-centered care, and explore new strategies for supporting individuals with disabilities.

Please note, spots are limited, and we are offering a monetary incentive for participants who fully complete the program per the specified guidelines. Do not miss this opportunity! (Participants cannot register with more than one provider.)

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Training organization: The National Center for START Services
  • Cost: Free
  • Duration: August 12, 2025, through September 16, 2025
  • Time commitment: 6-weeks: One virtual training, every Tuesday from 12:30 pm to 2:15 pm (105 minutes)
  • Who should register: Actively employed IDD and TBI direct support professionals and DSPs who work with members who have a dual (IDD/MH) diagnosis (*DSPs must be employed by an Alliance Health contracted provider in order to participate)
  • Monetary incentive: $185.00 will be provided to actively employed DSPs who successfully finish the program and receive a certificate of completion. (*Incentives can only be paid to DSPs who remain actively employed with the provider listed in their registration at the time of the incentive payout.)

Registration Tips:

  • Add “START IDD-MH Direct Support Professionals – 2025 Fall” training to cart. Click “Checkout.” When checking out, registrants will need to create a University of New Hampshire (UNH) account.
  • Include a good email address as some communication will come via email (company email is preferred but personal email will suffice).
  • Indicate the organization/agency currently affiliated with. (If we cannot verify you with a contracted Alliance provider, your incentive may be forfeited.)
  • Complete all surveys (pre-survey, session surveys and post-course surveys will be emailed). These are needed in order to obtain a certificate of completion.
