Attention Providers of B3 services: Update to Feb 26, 2024 Notification on Clarification on B3 code changes
Effective July 1, 2023, there were changes to some B3 service codes. Please see the table below that outlines these changes.

Alliance has transferred authorizations on file for these services that extend beyond June 30, 2023. Remaining units were transferred to the new service codes with a start date of 7/1/2023. Authorization end dates will be the same as the previous authorization(s).
Provider contract details in ACS have been updated in ACS to reflect the current B3 codes and providers will receive a contract amendment to reflect the change. These codes have been cross walked based on the current contract detail set up. If you do not see the updated codes in your ACS detail please email [email protected] and provide your organization name, NPI, site address and specific code that is missing. Your request will be reviewed to ensure the crosswalk is updated in your organization’s contract details in ACS.
Providers will not have to submit replacement claims for the B3 codes that were billed using the former B3 codes while they matched the authorizations that are now end dated on 6.30.23. As a reminder, providers should be submitting claims and authorization requests utilizing the new B3 service codes.
