Claims Update - TCM Place of Service
The ACS Provider Portal has now been updated to include Place of Service code 10 – Telehealth at Home and Place of Service code 02 – Telehealth NOT at Home as valid place of service options for Tailored Care Management services (T1017:HT).
These POS codes should only be billed when services have been provided as outlined in the below definitions:
POS Code 02 – Telehealth NOT at Home – The location where health services and health-related services are provided or received, through HIPAA compliant two-way audio-visual telecommunication technology. Patient is NOT located in their home when receiving health services or health-related services through telecommunication technology.
POS Code 10 – Telehealth at Home – The location where health services and health-related services are provided or received, through HIPAA compliant two-way audio-visual telecommunication technology. Patient is located in their home (which is a location other than a hospital or other facility where the patient receives care in a private residence) when receiving health services or health-related services through telecommunication technology.
