Update to JCB 408/417 State Funded I/DD and TBI Services
This update is for Providers of members with I/DD or TBI receiving the State Services listed below, which were sunsetting on November 30, 2022. This update includes information regarding the delay in these codes being sunset and a halt on the transition plan.
Alliance has been in contact with NCDHHS and is being informed the sunsetting date for the codes listed below will be extended to March 31, 2023. They have indicated a JCB is forthcoming. Alliance will not proceed with the transition plan outlined in previous Provider Update bulletins. The current codes will remain in our benefit plan for now.
As mentioned in previous communications please continue to submit your reauthorizations as you normally would. Please note, residential services for members new to this service are still on a freeze due to budget constraints. Only existing members who already have these services can be reauthorized.
As we learn more from the State concerning implementation, we will alert our network. Our contracting team will not be adding the new service codes at this time, and it will not be available in our benefit plan to use at this time. Please do not attempt to submit a reauthorization using the new codes as the service code will not show up in ACS. Also, please do not submit ISP plans with the new codes. Please use the existing codes.
