Change in Non-Medicaid and Medicaid Opioid Maintenance Therapy H0020 (OMT) Authorization Requirements
Effective immediately: To create better access to services for the members of Alliance Health prior authorization will no longer be required for Non-Medicaid and Medicaid Opioid Maintenance Therapy H0020 (OMT). This includes both Initial and Concurrent Requests.
Please refer to NC Medicaid Clinical Coverage Policy 8A and the NC Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services State-Funded Enhanced Mental Health and Substance Abuse Service Definitions for details on all other service and documentation requirements.
