Alliance member Anika McElvaney added her creative touch to her family’s Thanksgiving table by crafting a delightful batch of pumpkin bread rolls. Get the recipe.

“Anika is a very enthusiastic young lady with great supports through her family and Innovations services,” said Alliance Care Manager Casey Robinson. “Her current staff has been with her for over 11 years. She has not let the pandemic blues get her down as she stays active in her community. Let’s hope we can all share in her excitement during this holiday season.”

The NC Innovations Waiver allows people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to receive services and supports in their own community. This helps people live as independently as possible, rather than in an institution like a developmental center. Learn more about the NC Innovations Waiver.
