Alliance Health, Mecklenburg Sheriff's Office Partner to Offer Wellness Expo

The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and Alliance Health are partnering to offer the “Wellness is Wholeness Expo,” Saturday, November 5,  from 11 am to 3 pm, at the Keith Family YMCA, 8100 Old Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte.

The event will feature more than 20 vendors representing physical and behavioral health and activities for children and adolescents, including glitter tattoos, make a stress ball, life size Jenga and a fire truck. Community-based organizations will also be on site sharing important information and resources.

“Members of the planning committee from the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and Alliance Health’s Community Health and Well-Being department are excited about the opportunity to offer this informative and educational event to the community,” said Alliance Community Engagement Specialist John Giampaolo. “We are thankful for the various community partners who are taking time to participate in the event and share information about their services.”

On-stage presentations from participating organizations and vendors will share information about topics related to behavioral and physical health. Each participant will receive a complimentary resource guide that includes information for all invited vendors, in addition to crisis support information.

The first 100 guests will receive a free lunch.
