New Residency Verification Process for State-Funded Services

Effective immediately, we have modified our eligibility and enrollment procedure for individuals with out-of-catchment Family Planning Medicaid (MAFD) who can demonstrate that they reside in Cumberland, Durham, Johnston or Wake counties. As described in the Provider Operations Manual, individuals who are uninsured must meet income and residency requirements to qualify for State-funded behavioral healthcare, and the provider must verify that the member resides in an Alliance catchment county. When members reside in an Alliance county but are identified as having Family Planning Medicaid (MAFD) from a non-Alliance catchment county, providers must submit the Residency Verification Attestation Form to confirm residency status.

Providers must complete the Residency Verification Attestation Form to verify residency status and submit it to [email protected] as indicated on the form. This form must be submitted prior to or at the same time as the enrollment request that is submitted through the AlphaMCS Provider Portal. Providers are required to begin using this new process immediately. Access the form.
